Service Description

Combining design with function, this 3 week class will teach you how to create your very own custom pairing of fine bar or stemware glasses. Using your beverage of choice as inspiration, you will design a set of matching glassware to showcase and pair with your drink. Students will bring in 2 drawings and reference photos to start on the first class. Depending on the students choice of glassware, there will be the option to learn how to add on stems and feet. The goal of this class is to take students from executing a single design to manufacturing multiples using calipers, mold blowing and precision. After the blowing portion on the last class, there will be a beverage analysis to critique how each student's glassware pairs with their chosen beverage. This class will run on all 3 benches- 2 people per bench, 4-7pm There are a total of 3 - 3 hours classes - Students will meet one hour early, 3pm, on the first class to talk about designs
