Section 2: The stuffed cup!: Dates: Oct 22- Nov 19 Intermediate Skills Workshop, ISW, is designed to introduce and develop an array of new skills and techniques for students who have exceeded the level of training offered by the Public Glass core curriculum ( Levels 1-4) Level 4 or similar experience is the prerequisite for this class. Email operations@publicglass.org if you have taken courses outside of Public Glass. This is weekly class running 5 weeks on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm (or Sunday from 12:30-3:30pm) which will include demonstrations followed by hands on practice time for the students in each session. Students may switch to the Sunday class based on availability if you cannot make a class on tues. There are a total of 3 sessions in one year- Fall (14 weeks), Spring (14 weeks), and Summer (7 weeks). Students now have the option to sign up for individual sections instead of entire 14 week course. There are 3 sections in each 14 week session. Students can take any of the sections individually. * ISW blowslots are not available for those only taking sections. ISW students must be enrolled in entire 14 week course to purchase ISW blowslots. Week 1 Sunday 10/20, Tues 10/22 Make an even walled clear cup to stuff at a later class Right shape for a stuff cup, even thickness with/without a hole Week 2 Sunday 10/27, Tues 10/29 Colored cup- can be done in bar color or frit Overlay review Color provided Week 3 Sunday 11/3 , Tues 11/5 Stuff the cup with solid glass Prepping the cup, setup, pre-heating Pickup box vs garage Week 4 Sunday 11/10, Tues 11/12 Stuff the cup with bubble Week 5 Sunday 11/17, Tues 11/19 Practice session: everyone gets an allotted amount of time
