Starting with an object of your choice, students will make a silicone mold of the object, then create a positive form out of wax from the silicone mold. From there students pour plaster silica to create a mold around the wax positive to be put into a kiln. The kiln will melt the glass into the plaster silica mold creating the object out of glass. Most objects will take multiple lessons to make. Choose your own date and time. We are open Mon- Sun for kiln casting. There are not any set times for the casting shop. Choose your 3 hour lesson start anytime after 9am and end before 9:30pm. Participants with no experience can choose between - any object that can fit into a standard soup can Private lessons are also good for those with a particular project that are not offered in regular classes. Students with previous casting experience can also book a private lesson to work on a more advanced project than the class would allow.
