Studio Orientation
Fusing, Casting, Coldworking, Flameworking and Glassblowing
Service Description
Fusing/casting orientation: 1 hour total Prerequisite: Casting or Fusing Level 2 or similar experience Fusing/casting orientation will cover kilns, grinders, ceramic molds and shop supplies. Orientation available on Tues or Thurs from 11-5pm or Sunday from 12-3pm Glassblowing orientation: 2 hours total Prerequisite: Glassblowing Level 4 or similar experience Glassblowing orientation will cover gloryholes, oxy/propane torch, annealers, color box garage, and shop supplies Orientation available Mon-Thurs 11-6pm Flameworking Orientation: 30 minutes Prerequisite: Flameworking Level 2 Flameworking orientation will cover oxy frog, propane tanks, regulators, kiln, and shop supplies Flameworking orientation available on Mon -Thurs 10am-5pm Coldworking Orientation: 1 hour Prerequisite: Level 1 or similar experience Coldworking orientation will cover coldshop equipment, air compressor, shop policies and shop supplies Orientation available: Mon-Thurs 10am-5pm
Cancellation Policy
For help with your booking please contact info@publicglass.org Cancellation Policy: No credit or refund can be issued if a cancellation occurs 9 days or less before your class date. This helps us guarantee stable wages for our hard-working artist instructors. If a cancellation occurs 10 days or more before the start of class, please submit a written request to operations@publicglass.org as soon as you know of a possible conflict. Your account will be credited with the cost of the class. You can apply this credit to a future class, our online shop, or event. Please email operations@publicglass.org to use the credit on your account. Excessive rescheduling will result in an administrative fee. Online class registration closes 2 days before the first session. For late registration, questions or guidance on our programs, please email us at: info@publicglass.org. As a small nonprofit, our goal is to keep access to the studios affordable and to employ the independent artists who have committed to teach you. Monetary refunds are issued at the discretion of management. In the rare case that we are able to issue a refund, our processing platforms will keep a minimum of 10% non-refundable fees. Keeping the credit on your account is highly encouraged. It ensures that you get to keep 100% of your credit while supporting our artists and community. Thank you for your support and understanding.
