Glassblowing + Fusing Combo
10 - 24 participants
$275-$315/person | 4 hour session
This is an action-packed event, so even though it’s a bit longer than the others, 4 hours, the time will fly by! We will split your group into two halves. Half of your group will go to the warm shop to make a mural or individual pieces while half will go to the hotshop to make paperweights. At the 2 hour mark we will switch the groups so everyone will get to make 2 items total and get to try out hot furnace glass as well as working with sheet glass.
Private Demonstration Party
20 - 200 participants
$90/person | $75/person for groups larger than 100 | 3 hour session
Three artists will work together in a live glass blowing demonstration for your group, creating a range of objects and explaining the process throughout. Participants are encouraged to make requests and interact with our team, ask questions and engage with the artists. This is an amazing opportunity to experience a wide range of glass techniques and have an open dialogue with professional artists. You will get to take home the objects that are made. Food You're welcome to bring refreshments. If doing so, we ask you provide your group with plates, etc. and help with cleanup. We can coordinate catering for a $100 fee + the cost of the caterer. We allow consumption of alcohol on the premises. Booking The event will not be booked in our calendar until the invoice has been paid. If the event takes place within 10 days of the time you book, we must charge a $250 last minute booking fee as well to cover the extra admin and the necessary calendar shuffling our contracted teachers must do in order to fit the workshop into their schedule. The information about cancellations and rescheduling will be at the bottom of the invoice.
Teambuild FAQ:
-
Catering?
You are welcome to bring your own food or drink with you for the teambuild. We just ask that your group clean up after themselves at the end. We can also handle the catering order for you at $100 + the cost of the catering. All catering orders need to be sent to operations@publicglass.org 1 week before the teambuild date. While we allow consumption of alcohol on the premises, no individual may consume alcohol before or during a hands-on portion of our workshops for safety so it can only be consumed after each person is done with their piece. Best time to have the catering delivered is 30 min from the start time after the safety talk and demo.

Weekends: 9am - 12pm, 12:30 - 3:30pm, 4pm - 7pm, 7:30pm - 10:30pm.
There will be an additonal fee to cover the equipment if the teambuild overlaps 2 rental times in the glassblowing shop. Fused and stained glass teambuilds can choose their start time.
4. Do I get to take my item home with me on the same day of the teambuild?
Short answer no. Glass needs to be put into a kiln to be safely tempered down or the glass will break. So all items will need to be put into a kiln and sent through a cycle that will need to be picked up at a later date. Please check the pick up schedule here:
5. Do you have wheel chair access?
Yes we do. There are steps leading up to our door but we have a side alleyway that leads into our glassblowing and fusing shops that we can lead the person with the wheel chair into the shop. Please let us know ahead of time so we can coordinate with our teachers.
6. Do you have handblown cups for sale?
Yes we do! You can purchase handmade cups that are made from our glassblowing community right here in our studio. Every cup will be unique. Each cup is $25 each and can be purchased with the teambuild so your group can drink out of them during the teambuild and have something to take with them the same day.
7. Is there anything my group needs to do before the teambuild?
Yes there is. Please make sure every person attending fills out a waiver beforehand.
